Professional Work

I have been luck to have hands on experience with an excellent community nutrition program. The following is details on my work with Food Hero.

Food Hero is an initiative of the Oregon Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed), developed by Oregon State University Extension Services. Its mission is to improve the health of low income Oregonians through the increased consumption of fruit, vegetables and home cooked meals.

As a student coordinator I worked to help write grants, develop and organize multiple state wide presentations, aid in the collaborating with other nutrition programs, and participate in research and surveying efforts to continue to improve the Food Hero initiative.​

I have help develop the Food Hero website and gained skills using HTML and drupal.  I have also helped draft and publish monthly newsletter, develop themes, test and publish recipes.​

​

The majority of my work has been coordinating the social media channels for Food Hero as well as gathering and analyzing analytics. Click on the links to check it out. ​
